A global leader in team collaboration tools. As part of the Jira Software team, with over 20 million monthly active users, I worked within a cross-functional triad model, contributing to product design and strategy to deliver improved user experiences and new features.
Key highlights include:
- Led the research and design for implementing Inline editing on the Board and Backlog, resulting in 70% of monthly updates being made inline in Backlogs and a 1.3-second reduction in update time.
- Led the end-to-end design for Bulk Operations in Backlog, a year-long project involving multiple design iterations across 7 teams and up to 12 engineers. The final release resulted in a 10% increase in task completion rate and reduced the average completion time to 22 seconds (as of Dec-Jan 2023/24).
- Improved design processes and increased productivity across the wider design organisation by serving as the DRI for the Jira Software UI Kit, collaborating closely with the Atlassian Design System team.
- Influenced design direction by strategically driving innovation and modernisation of Jira UI, designing various Jira experiences using the new product design language, and informing the Atlassian Design System Foundations and Components by stress-testing the visual design language across Jira.
